New Delhi, 5th Aug: Union Home Minister and Minister of Cooperation Amit Shah on Wednesday received a dividend cheque of ₹22.90 crore from REPCO Bank on behalf of the Government of India for the financial year 2025-26.
The cheque, representing a 30 per cent dividend on the Centre’s share capital of ₹76.32 crore in the bank, was presented by REPCO Bank Chairman E. Santhanam, Director C. Thangaraju and Managing Director O.M. Gokul.
Congratulating the bank’s management, Shah said REPCO Bank had set an example in cooperative banking by recording a net profit of ₹169 crore during FY 2025-26, the highest in its history.
In a post on X, the Home Minister said the bank’s success under the Ministry of Home Affairs reflects its professionalism and excellence, and extended his best wishes to its management and staff.
According to the government, REPCO Bank has remained consistently profitable and has paid dividends to stakeholders for more than three decades. The bank’s total business mix crossed ₹26,000 crore as of June 30, 2026.
Union Home Secretary Govind Mohan and other senior officials were present during the cheque presentation ceremony.
