HM Amit Shah to Lay Foundation for New Alwar Dairy Plant
₹6,262 crore development works to be launched across 17 Rajasthan districts; 10,548 new appointees to receive letters

New Delhi, 15th Aug: Union Home Minister and Minister of Cooperation Amit Shah will lay the foundation stone of a new dairy plant at the Alwar Saras Dairy Complex in Rajasthan on August 16, as part of the government’s efforts to strengthen cooperative institutions and empower farmers under the “Sahkar se Samriddhi” vision.
The foundation stone will be laid at the Vijay Nagar Ground in Alwar. During the programme, Shah will also e-inaugurate dairy processing plants and cattle feed plants of various milk unions.
The Union Minister is also scheduled to announce the formation of new Central Cooperative Banks and remotely transfer funds to beneficiaries of various welfare schemes through Direct Benefit Transfer (DBT). Beneficiaries under schemes including the Pradhan Mantri Fasal Bima Yojana and Pradhan Mantri Kisan Samman Nidhi Yojana will be covered.
The programme will feature the e-foundation stone laying and e-inauguration of development works worth ₹6,262 crore across 17 districts of Rajasthan.
Appointment letters will also be distributed to 10,548 newly appointed personnel under the Rozgar Utsav.
The new dairy plant at the Alwar Saras Dairy Complex, along with the dairy processing and cattle feed plants being inaugurated, is expected to strengthen the processing and production capacity of Rajasthan’s dairy cooperative sector.
The initiative is aimed at expanding modern dairy infrastructure, creating better opportunities for milk producers and strengthening the rural economy through cooperative institutions.
The programme is being organised in line with Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s vision of “Sahkar se Samriddhi”, with the government seeking to make cooperative institutions more modern, efficient and self-reliant while supporting the economic empowerment of farmers and milk producers.
