Hyderabad, 11th May: Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Sunday laid the foundation stone, inaugurated and dedicated multiple development projects worth around ₹9,400 crore in Hyderabad, saying Telangana’s growth would play a major role in India’s development.

Addressing a public gathering, the Prime Minister said the projects would strengthen infrastructure, improve connectivity and create large-scale employment opportunities across Telangana.

“If Telangana develops, then India will develop,” Modi said.
The Prime Minister described Hyderabad as a city of national and global importance and said the newly launched projects would help establish Telangana as a major manufacturing and industrial hub.

PM MITRA Park to Drive Textile Revolution
Highlighting the significance of the PM MITRA Park in Warangal, Modi said India’s textile sector once played a major role in making the country a global economic power and the government was now working to strengthen that legacy again.

“The PM MITRA Park in Warangal will accelerate the nation’s textile revolution,” he said.

The Prime Minister said the textile park would generate employment opportunities, especially for women, while industries operating there would benefit from central government schemes including the Production Linked Incentive (PLI) scheme.

He also highlighted the Zaheerabad Industrial Area project, calling it a major component of India’s industrial corridor mission.

According to Modi, the upcoming industrial smart city will feature world-class infrastructure, ICT networks and advanced facilities aimed at attracting global investment and boosting manufacturing activities in Telangana.

Connectivity and Railway Expansion Highlighted
The Prime Minister said the Centre had made unprecedented investments in roads, railways and airports over the past 12 years.

He noted that Telangana’s national highway network had doubled during this period and said the widening of the Telangana-Karnataka National Highway would reduce travel time and transportation costs.

Referring to railway expansion, Modi said Telangana now receives more than ₹5,500 crore annually for railway projects compared to less than ₹1,000 crore allocated to undivided Andhra Pradesh before 2014.

He also highlighted the operation of Vande Bharat and Amrit Bharat trains in the state and inaugurated sections of the Kazipet-Vijayawada Multi-Tracking Project and Kazipet Rail Under Bypass Line.

PM Stresses Energy Security
The Prime Minister also underlined the importance of energy security in the current global situation and inaugurated Indian Oil’s new terminal in Malkapur.

He said the project would strengthen Telangana’s energy supply chain and support the region’s growing energy demands.

Modi highlighted India’s progress in solar energy, ethanol blending and clean fuel expansion while calling for responsible energy consumption to reduce import dependence and conserve foreign exchange.

“We must make efforts to use only as much as is needed to save foreign currency and reduce the adverse effects of war crises,” he said.

The Prime Minister assured continued support from the Centre for Telangana’s development, saying the aspirations of the state’s youth, farmers, industries and startups would remain a priority.
