New Delhi, 25th June: The International Police Expo 2026 commenced at Bharat Mandapam in New Delhi on Wednesday, bringing together security agencies, defence manufacturers, technology companies and law enforcement experts from more than 25 countries to showcase next-generation policing and homeland security technologies.

The three-day exhibition features over 300 products and solutions spanning surveillance, cyber security, artificial intelligence, forensic science, defence systems and public safety.

One of the biggest attractions on the opening day was the indigenous Tyto sniper rifle developed by SSS Defence. Designed for precision operations in urban environments, the rifle reflects India’s growing emphasis on self-reliance in defence manufacturing and drew significant interest from security agencies and international delegations.

SSS Defence also showcased its Varaha Counter Drone System, which detects hostile drones using acoustic signatures by analysing the sound generated by drone propellers, offering an additional layer of protection beyond conventional radio-frequency detection systems.

Another highlight of the expo was the launch of India’s first AI-enabled Anti-Drone Patrol Vehicle by Indrajaal Drone Defence. The mobile platform is capable of detecting, tracking and responding to drone threats while on the move, demonstrating the increasing integration of artificial intelligence into security operations.

International participation was equally prominent, with Russian defence manufacturer Kalashnikov displaying the Garuda (SKAT 350 M) unmanned aerial vehicle, a high-altitude surveillance drone designed for operations in difficult terrain and electronic warfare environments.

The exhibition also featured AI-powered forensic tools, cyber intelligence platforms, mobile forensic laboratories, advanced surveillance systems and lawful interception technologies aimed at enhancing investigative capabilities.

In the mobility segment, Armoured Vehicles Nigam Limited (AVNL) showcased its latest Light Armoured Multi-Purpose Vehicle, while the DRDO-CRPF-developed Rakshita motorbike ambulance demonstrated solutions for rapid emergency response in difficult terrain.

Organisers said the expo serves as a platform for collaboration among government agencies, police organisations, defence manufacturers and technology innovators, while promoting indigenous innovation, technology transfer and discussions on the future of policing and homeland security.
