New Delhi, 30th July: The Change of Guard Ceremony at the Forecourt of Rashtrapati Bhavan will not be held on August 1 and August 8, 2026, the government announced on Thursday.
According to an official statement, the ceremony has been suspended due to rehearsals being conducted for the Independence Day Ceremony 2026.
The Change of Guard Ceremony is a regular public event held at the Forecourt of Rashtrapati Bhavan, showcasing the ceremonial transfer of guard duties by the President’s Bodyguard and military personnel.
The ceremony is expected to resume after the completion of the Independence Day rehearsal schedule.
