Chandigarh, 19th Oct: Former Member of Parliament and Additional Solicitor General of India Satya Pal Jain has asserted that the fight against corruption will continue and that there will be no compromise on the issue.

Jain made the remarks while interacting with a delegation of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) Punjab Legal Cell, which met him to congratulate and felicitate him for his legal efforts against alleged corruption in court proceedings involving the Punjab Government, the Greater Mohali Area Development Authority (GMADA) and other matters pursued on behalf of the Enforcement Directorate (ED) and other investigating agencies.

Jain said that recent reports highlighting alleged widespread corruption in Punjab represented only a small part of the overall problem in the state. He expressed concern that, instead of focusing on tackling corruption, the Punjab Government was challenging investigating agencies and, to some extent, the courts.

He further alleged that the state government was attempting, through different means, to protect officials accused of corruption rather than taking action against them.

BJP Legal Cell Appreciates Jain’s Stand
The BJP Punjab Legal Cell felicitated Jain in recognition of the stand he had taken in court proceedings concerning corruption. Members of the delegation appreciated his efforts and reiterated their commitment to pursuing the issue through legal channels.

The delegation assured Jain that the BJP Legal Cell, under his leadership, would continue its efforts against corruption across Punjab, particularly through court proceedings concerning alleged corruption in the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP)-led Punjab Government.

The meeting highlighted the Legal Cell’s stated intention to use legal processes to challenge alleged wrongdoing and seek accountability from public officials.

Advocates Part of the Delegation
The delegation included N.K. Verma, Convenor of the BJP Punjab Legal Cell; Devesh Moudgil, advocate and former Mayor; Dheeraj Jain, senior advocate; Surjit Singh Randhawa, Co-Convenor; Rajinder Sharma; Harneet Oberoi; Nitish Singh; and Charanjit Singh, all advocates.

The delegation congratulated Jain for his continued legal efforts against corruption and expressed confidence that the BJP Legal Cell would continue to raise such matters through the courts.
