PM Modi Hails Elavenil Valarivan, Shooters for Asian Games Silver

New Delhi, 21st Sept: Prime Minister Narendra Modi congratulated Indian shooters Elavenil Valarivan, Sonam Uttam Maskar and Vidarsa K Vinod after the trio won the Silver Medal in the Women’s 10m Air Rifle event at the Asian Games 2026.
Congratulating Elavenil on her individual Silver, Modi said Indian shooters continued to make the country proud. He noted that the medal was her second of the day, making the achievement particularly significant.
In another message, the Prime Minister congratulated Sonam Uttam Maskar, Elavenil Valarivan and Vidarsa K Vinod for their Silver Medal in the Women’s 10m Air Rifle event.
Calling their performance a result of “hardwork and teamwork”, Modi said their success would inspire several athletes in the coming years.
