New Delhi, 3rd Aug: Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Monday expressed pride in the Indian contingent’s performance at the Commonwealth Games 2026 in Glasgow, congratulating athletes after the country secured 39 medals, including 13 gold.
In a post on X, PM Modi hailed the performance of Indian athletes and said their achievements reflected exceptional skill, determination and dedication throughout the Games.
“Proud of our contingent’s performance at the Glasgow Commonwealth Games,” Modi said.
The Prime Minister expressed delight over India winning 39 medals, including 13 gold medals, and congratulated all the medal winners for their performances.
“Throughout the Games, our talented athletes have displayed exceptional skill, determination and dedication. Their hardwork will keep inspiring our youngsters,” Modi said.
The Prime Minister also extended his best wishes to the entire Indian contingent for future competitions and expressed hope that the athletes would continue to bring greater glory to the country.
