Mumbai, 23rd June: Shiv Sena (UBT) mouthpiece Saamana launched a sharp attack on Maharashtra Deputy Chief Minister Eknath Shinde after six MPs from the Uddhav Thackeray camp switched allegiance.

The editorial alleged that a ₹500 crore operation was carried out to engineer the defections and accused the BJP-Shinde alliance of focusing on political gains instead of public issues.

It also raised concerns over falling water reserves in Maharashtra and the NEET paper leak controversy, claiming governance issues were being overshadowed by celebrations over the political setback suffered by the Thackeray faction.
