‘The Hindu Manifesto’ Book Launched in Guwahati Amid Call for Cultural Awakening

Swami Vigyananand says the book offers a roadmap for nation-building and Hindu resurgence

Guwahati, 23rd May: Under the aegis of the Samagra Vikas Nyas, a grand launch ceremony was held today in Dispur, Guwahati, for the book ‘The Hindu Manifesto,’ authored by Swami Vigyananand Ji. Centred on the theme of “Hindu Resurgence and the Awakening of Hindutva,” the event witnessed the presence of distinguished guests, intellectuals, social workers and a large gathering of people.

The program commenced with the ceremonial lighting of the lamp, an event in which Swami Vigyananand Ji, former Rajya Sabha MP Dr. Bhubaneswar Kalita, senior journalist and Global Governance News representative Dr. Kumar Rakesh, National General Secretary of the Akhil Bharatiya Itihas Sankalan Yojana (All India History Compilation Scheme) Shri Himanta Dhing Majumdar, North-East Regional Organizing Secretary of the Vishwa Hindu Parishad (VHP) Shri Dinesh Tiwari, President of VHP Guwahati Metropolitan Shri Sabin Rajkhowa, retired IAS officer Shri Hitesh Dev Sharma, and Director of the Samagra Vikas Nyas (Holistic Development Trust) Poonam Sharma participated.
Subsequently, all the dignitaries seated on the dais, as well as the guests, were felicitated; they were honored with floral bouquets, traditional ‘Gamusas’ (scarves), and commemorative mementos. Also present on this occasion were the city’s distinguished social worker and businessman Shri Amit Jain, Shri Vidyadhar Deka, Shri Rajesh Gupta, President of the ‘World Meitei Council’ Shri Nav Kishore,VHP kshetra Mahamantri Shri Kumud Borthakur, and numerous other VHP functionaries and prominent citizens of the city.
The inaugural address was delivered by Shri Govind Goswami.
Following this, Dr. Kumar Rakesh—Editorial Chairman of the Global Governance News Group—presented the introductory remarks. In his speech, he provided a detailed account of Swami Ji’s work, highlighting how he is actively engaged in the Hindu awakening and renaissance movement abroad, and how he is striving to unite Hindus across various nations of the world. He further stated that this book, authored by Swami Ji, has the potential to serve as a guiding light not only for the Hindu community but for any society or nation across the globe, as it is fundamentally rooted in the concept of nation-building and holds immense significance.
Following the book launch, in his keynote address, Swami Ji provided insights into the publication, noting that it comprises eight fundamental principles (*Sutras*). Briefly expounding upon these eight principles in his speech, he emphasized that they play a pivotal role in the construction of any society or nation, and that the principles outlined therein are absolutely essential for fostering a healthy, prosperous, and vibrant nation and society.
In his address, Shri Hemanta Dhing Majumdar shed light on the manner in which the British colonial regime attempted to distort India’s history.
Finally, the entire program was presided over by the Chairman of the event—former Rajya Sabha MP Shri Bhubaneswar Kalita—who delivered the concluding address. It was stated that this initiative represents a significant outcome of Swami Ji’s efforts, and that this book of his will serve as an invaluable guide for both society and the nation. He has undertaken the vital task of providing guidance to contemporary Hindu society—a mission in which the contribution of every individual is essential.
At the conclusion of the program, Poonam Sharma, Director of the Samagra Vikas Nyas, delivered the vote of thanks, expressing gratitude to all the guests, auditorium staff, media personnel, and attendees.
The entire program was anchored by Dr. Kalpana Bora—Head of the Department of Physics at Gauhati University. The assembly concluded with the rendition of *Vande Mataram*.
