New Delhi, 15th May: Vice-President C. P. Radhakrishnan will visit Sikkim on May 16 for the Statehood Day celebrations in Gangtok.
The visit will mark the Vice-President’s first official trip to Sikkim after assuming office.
According to an official statement issued on Friday, Radhakrishnan will grace the Statehood Day celebrations during his visit to the Himalayan state.
Sikkim observes its Statehood Day annually to commemorate its formal integration as the 22nd state of India in 1975.
The event in Gangtok is expected to witness participation from state officials, dignitaries and members of the public.
