New Delhi/Tehran, 7th April: The Embassy of India in Iran has issued an urgent advisory asking Indian nationals to remain indoors and “stay where they are” for the next 48 hours amid rising tensions in the region.

The advisory urged citizens to avoid all electric and military installations, as well as upper floors of multi-storey buildings, citing safety concerns. Those staying in embassy-arranged accommodations have been asked to remain inside and maintain regular contact with officials.

The development comes as US President Donald Trump issued a stark warning, claiming that a major escalation could unfold. In a social media post, Trump said the situation could mark a critical moment in global history, raising fears of further conflict.

Meanwhile, Iran has reportedly suspended all diplomatic and indirect communication channels with the United States, signalling a sharp deterioration in ties.

The situation follows weeks of escalating hostilities, with reports of strikes on key Iranian military and infrastructure targets. Heightened tensions have raised concerns about civilian safety and the risk of a broader regional conflict.

Indian authorities are closely monitoring developments, while urging citizens in Iran to exercise caution and strictly follow safety guidelines.
