New Delhi, 8th April: Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Wednesday lauded the success of the Pradhan Mantri Mudra Yojana as it completed 11 years since its launch, highlighting its impact on youth self-employment.
In a message shared on social media, the Prime Minister said the scheme has played a crucial role in enabling young individuals to become self-reliant by providing access to financial support for small businesses.
He noted that the success of the Mudra Yojana reflects how the right opportunities can empower individuals not only to sustain themselves but also to contribute meaningfully to national progress.
Emphasising the importance of values and wisdom, Modi also shared a Sanskrit Subhashitam describing the qualities of a wise individual—self-awareness, resilience, commitment to good actions, and adherence to righteousness.
Launched in 2015, the Mudra Yojana aims to provide collateral-free loans to small and micro enterprises, forming a key pillar of India’s financial inclusion strategy.
The Prime Minister’s remarks come as the scheme continues to be a major driver of entrepreneurship and job creation, particularly among youth and first-time business owners.
