New Delhi, 9th April: Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Thursday asserted that reservation for women in legislative bodies is essential to make Indian democracy more vibrant and participative.

In a message shared on social media, the Prime Minister said that empowering women through greater representation in legislatures would deepen democratic engagement and inclusivity.

He emphasised that any delay in implementing such a provision would be “deeply unfortunate,” underlining the urgency of the issue.
