New Delhi, 9th April: Newly elected Rajya Sabha member Parth Ajit Pawar was administered the oath of office on Thursday by C. P. Radhakrishnan, who also serves as Chairman of the Upper House.
The oath ceremony took place at Parliament House, where Pawar, representing Maharashtra, took his oath in English.
Several senior leaders were present on the occasion, including Jagat Prakash Nadda, Maharashtra Deputy Chief Minister Sunetra Ajit Pawar, and Rajya Sabha members Jairam Ramesh and Praful Patel.
Lok Sabha member Sunil Tatkare and Rajya Sabha Secretary General P. C. Mody were also in attendance, along with other senior officials of the Secretariat.
The swearing-in marks Parth Pawar’s formal entry into the Upper House, adding to Maharashtra’s representation in Parliament.
