New Delhi, 12th April: Vice President C. P. Radhakrishnan and Lok Sabha Speaker Om Birla on Sunday expressed deep sorrow over the passing of legendary playback singer Asha Bhosle, paying rich tributes to her enduring musical legacy.
In his condolence message, the Vice President said he was deeply saddened by her demise and extended heartfelt condolences to her family, admirers, and music lovers. He highlighted her remarkable versatility, noting that her voice seamlessly traversed genres—from soulful ghazals to traditional bhajans—leaving an indelible mark on Indian music.
“Asha ji’s timeless voice will continue to resonate in the hearts of millions and inspire generations,” he said.
Lok Sabha Speaker Om Birla also expressed grief, describing her passing as a profound loss to India’s cultural heritage. He praised her unparalleled contribution to Indian art and music, noting that she enriched the industry over decades with her extraordinary talent.
