New Delhi, 14th April:
 In a major administrative reshuffle, the office of the Lieutenant Governor of Delhi has ordered the transfer and posting of several IAS and DANICS officers with immediate effect.According to Order No. 130 dated April 8, multiple senior officials have been assigned new roles across key departments, signalling a major restructuring within the capital’s प्रशासनिक framework.

 

Key Appointments
Among the prominent changes:
  • Dr. G. Narendra Kumar (IAS, AGMUT: 1989) has been appointed as Financial Commissioner.
  • Prashant Goyal (IAS, AGMUT: 1993) has been given additional responsibilities as Additional Chief Secretary (Food & Civil Supplies) along with other key roles.
  • Soumya Saurabh (IAS, AGMUT: 2014) will continue as Deputy Commissioner (North-West) with additional charge of Special Secretary (Industries).
  • Sonika Singh (IAS, AGMUT: 2015) has been posted as Commissioner, DDA.
DANICS-Level Changes

A large number of DANICS officers have also been reassigned across departments such as education, finance, revenue, transport, and urban development.

Key postings include:

  • Deputy Secretary roles across departments including Finance, GAD, and Urban Development
  • Assistant Commissioners in Food & Supplies and Transport
  • Deputy Directors in Education and Women & Child Development
  • Assignments in DSSSB, prisons, and cooperative sectors
Order Cancellation

The notification also stated that an earlier transfer/posting order issued on February 14, 2026, in respect of one DANICS officer has been cancelled with retrospective effect, while the rest of the order remains unchanged.

Administrative Impact

The reshuffle is expected to streamline governance and strengthen departmental coordination in the national capital, especially across critical sectors like education, urban development, and public administration.

Officials said the changes aim to enhance efficiency and ensure smoother implementation of government policies.
