New Delhi, 23rd April: President Droupadi Murmu on Thursday accepted credentials from envoys of four countries at a ceremony held at Rashtrapati Bhavan.
The envoys who presented their credentials included Ambassador Vithaya Xayavong of the Lao People’s Democratic Republic, Ambassador Emilie Ayaza Mushobekwa of the Democratic Republic of the Congo, High Commissioner Wing Commander Alex Lunyazo Tukuhupwele (Retd.) of Namibia, and Ambassador Antonio Serifo Embalo of Guinea-Bissau.
The presentation of credentials marks the formal recognition of diplomats by the host country and enables them to officially represent their respective nations in India.
