Gandhinagar, 24th April: Senior diplomat Mahavir Singhvi met the Chief Minister and Deputy Chief Minister of Gujarat ahead of assuming charge as Consul General of India in Toronto.
During the meeting, Singhvi sought guidance on strengthening India-Canada trade and economic relations, as well as enhancing community welfare and people-to-people engagement.
The discussions focused on leveraging Gujarat’s role in India’s global economic outreach, with emphasis on expanding bilateral cooperation and supporting the Indian diaspora in Canada.
Officials said the interaction reflects efforts to deepen diplomatic and economic ties while addressing community-related issues through coordinated engagement.
Singhvi is expected to take charge in Toronto shortly.
