New Delhi, 20th May: Global Trade and Technology Council India co-hosted the “Viet Nam–India Digital Economy and Cross-Border E-Commerce Forum” in Noida on May 18 to strengthen bilateral cooperation in digital trade, technology and e-commerce between India and Vietnam.
The forum was organised in collaboration with the Trade Office of the Embassy of Viet Nam in India, the Vietnam E-Commerce and Digital Economy Agency and Marwah Studios.
The event brought together government officials, business leaders, startup founders, logistics companies, chambers of commerce and technology experts from both countries.
The discussions focused on expanding cooperation in digital economy initiatives, cross-border e-commerce, artificial intelligence, fintech, logistics integration and SME internationalisation.
Bui Trung Thuong, Trade Counsellor at the Embassy of Viet Nam in India, highlighted the growing role of digital economy and e-commerce in transforming global trade and stressed the need for stronger technological and commercial cooperation between the two countries.
Gaurav Gupta, Founder of GTTCI, said the council remains committed to promoting international trade partnerships, innovation ecosystems and business connectivity between India and global markets.
He added that platforms such as the forum create opportunities for MSMEs, startups and enterprises to expand globally through digital transformation.
The forum also featured presentations by representatives from Invest India, WASME, Entrepreneurs Association of India, logistics firms and startup founders.
Industry leaders discussed opportunities in digital payment systems, AI-driven trade facilitation, media branding, supply chain solutions and startup collaboration.
Interactive networking sessions and business meetings were also organised to encourage partnerships between enterprises from both countries.
The organisers said the event supports the India-Viet Nam goal of achieving bilateral trade worth USD 25 billion by 2030.
GTTCI thanked participating organisations, delegates and industry stakeholders for contributing to the successful conduct of the forum and reiterated its commitment to strengthening technology-driven trade cooperation between India and Viet Nam.
