New Delhi, 27th May: President Droupadi Murmu on Wednesday extended greetings to citizens across the country on the eve of Eid al-Adha, also known as Eid-Uz-Zuha.
In her message, the President conveyed her best wishes to all citizens and Indians living abroad, especially members of the Muslim community.
“On the occasion of Eid-Uz-Zuha, I extend my heartiest greetings and best wishes to all fellow citizens and Indians living abroad, especially to our Muslim brothers and sisters,” she said.
The President said the festival symbolises devotion, sacrifice and selflessness and inspires people to serve humanity, particularly the underprivileged and less privileged sections of society.
She also called upon citizens to strengthen their commitment towards promoting love, peace and harmony in society on the festive occasion.
