New Delhi, 26th June: Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Thursday met Queen Máxima of the Netherlands, who is also the United Nations Secretary-General’s Special Advocate for Financial Health, and discussed India’s Digital Public Infrastructure (DPI) and its role in advancing financial inclusion.

During the meeting, the two leaders exchanged views on how India’s digital transformation has made financial services more accessible, affordable and inclusive while improving the ease of living for millions of citizens.

Prime Minister Modi highlighted the impact of India’s Digital Public Infrastructure in expanding access to financial services and empowering people at scale through technology-driven governance.

He also reaffirmed India’s commitment to sharing its experience and best practices in digital public infrastructure with partner countries to support global financial inclusion efforts.

Following the meeting, the Prime Minister said India’s DPI-led revolution has significantly strengthened access to affordable financial services and reiterated the country’s willingness to collaborate with nations seeking to build inclusive digital ecosystems.

Queen Máxima, a long-standing global advocate for financial inclusion in her capacity as the UN Secretary-General’s Special Advocate for Financial Health, has been actively engaged in promoting inclusive financial systems worldwide.
