New Delhi, 26th June: Lord Rami Ranger, a Member of the House of Lords in the United Kingdom, has extended his support to the Global Kashmiri Pandit Diaspora Heritage Tour, describing the initiative as an important step towards uniting Kashmiri Pandits across the world and preserving their cultural heritage.

In a message issued for the event, Lord Ranger congratulated participants and said such gatherings strengthen the global voice of the Kashmiri Pandit community while promoting awareness of its history and civilisational legacy.

Referring to Kashmir’s historical significance, he said preserving the region’s cultural and spiritual heritage requires unity and collective efforts. He also recalled the sacrifices associated with the protection of religious freedom and highlighted the historical role of Guru Tegh Bahadur and Guru Gobind Singh in resisting oppression.

Lord Ranger praised Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Union Home Minister Amit Shah for the abrogation of Article 370, stating that the move had integrated Jammu and Kashmir more closely with the rest of the country and opened new avenues for development.

Expressing optimism about the region’s future, the British parliamentarian said he hoped Kashmir would continue to progress as a peaceful and prosperous destination while preserving its rich cultural identity.
