President Murmu Invites Moldovan Firms to Invest in India
Addresses India-Moldova Business Forum, highlights opportunities in AI, renewable energy, digital technologies and manufacturing

CHIȘINĂU, 21st July: President Droupadi Murmu on Monday invited Moldovan companies to expand trade and investment with India, highlighting the country’s strong economic growth and investor-friendly business environment while addressing the India-Moldova Business Forum alongside Moldovan President Maia Sandu.
Murmu said India and Moldova have shared warm and friendly relations since establishing diplomatic ties in 1992, with cooperation rooted in democratic values, mutual respect and a shared commitment to peace and development.
Highlighting India’s vision of Viksit Bharat 2047, the President said the country is among the world’s fastest-growing major economies, driven by entrepreneurship, digital transformation, manufacturing and a skilled workforce.
She identified artificial intelligence, digital technologies, cyber security, fintech, digital public infrastructure, renewable energy, advanced manufacturing, agriculture, food processing, pharmaceuticals, biotechnology and healthcare as key sectors for bilateral cooperation.
Murmu said Indian companies are keen to participate in Moldova’s renewable energy projects, including solar energy, battery storage, smart grids and green hydrogen.
Inviting Moldovan businesses to invest in India, she said the government remains committed to providing a transparent, predictable and investor-friendly business environment.
The President also encouraged Indian companies to explore opportunities in Moldova, expressing confidence that the Business Forum would pave the way for stronger economic partnerships and innovative collaborations between the two countries.
Business leaders from India and Moldova representing sectors such as agriculture, IT, pharmaceuticals, healthcare, renewable energy, education, logistics and digital technologies participated in the forum.
