The accused, aged 16 and 17, both residents of Ghaziabad, were apprehended on Tuesday. Police alleged that they lured the victim to the park on the pretext of buying slippers before stabbing him to death.

According to officials, the victim’s body was discovered on Tuesday morning in a pit inside a DDA park near Jag Pravesh Chandra Hospital. The body bore multiple stab injuries, and a blood-stained knife was recovered from the spot.

A case was registered at the New Usmanpur Police Station, following which a forensic team examined the crime scene and collected evidence. Police also analysed CCTV footage and used technical surveillance to identify the victim and trace the suspects.

During questioning, the two juveniles allegedly confessed to the crime.

Police said the accused told investigators that they worked at the same factory as the victim and claimed he frequently bullied and harassed them.

According to the police, the accused called the victim to the park under the pretext of purchasing slippers. An argument reportedly broke out during the meeting, after which they allegedly attacked him with a knife before fleeing the scene.

Further investigation into the case is underway, police said.
