New Delhi, 31st Aug: Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Monday hailed India’s 7.8% GDP growth in the first quarter of financial year 2026-27, describing the performance as a “herculean feat”.
In a post on X, Modi said the growth reflected the collective strength and resilience of the people of India despite external economic challenges.
“India’s exemplary GDP growth of 7.8% during Q1 of FY 2026-27 is a herculean feat,” the Prime Minister said.
He said India delivered the strong growth despite oil price shocks and supply chain issues amid continuing global uncertainties.
Modi also expressed confidence in India’s economic performance, stating, “Doomsayers were doomed and India bloomed…yet again!”
The Prime Minister’s remarks came after India recorded 7.8% growth in real GDP during the April-June quarter of FY 2026-27.
