In a post on X, the Prime Minister described Uttam Kumar as a “legend” and said his enduring performances continue to resonate with people even decades after his passing.

“Mahanayak Uttam Kumar… a legend whose timeless performances connect with people across generations. Tributes on his birth centenary,” Modi said.

The Prime Minister also shared excerpts from his remarks on Uttam Kumar during the recent episode of Mann Ki Baat, highlighting the actor’s lasting contribution to Indian cinema.
