VHP Welcomes Key Appointments to Ram Janmabhoomi Trust

New Delhi, 4th Sept: Senior advocate and Vishwa Hindu Parishad (VHP) International President Alok Kumar welcomed the key appointments announced following an important meeting of the Shri Ram Janmabhoomi Teerth Kshetra Trust in Ayodhya on September 2, 2026.
Kumar congratulated Govind Dev Giri Maharaj on assuming the responsibility of General Secretary of the Trust, expressing confidence that his leadership would provide guidance to the organisation.
He also welcomed the appointment of Mahesh Bhagchandka as a trustee and Treasurer. Kumar described Bhagchandka as a long-time participant in the Shri Ram Janmabhoomi movement and said his experience in advancing the work associated with the Ashok Singhal Foundation and Hindutva initiatives would benefit the Trust.
Advocate Madan Mohan Pandey, who was associated with the legal battle concerning Shri Ram Janmabhoomi, has also been appointed as a trustee. Kumar said Pandey’s legal perspective and experience would be valuable to the Trust.
The VHP president also welcomed the appointment of Nirmala Yadav as a trustee, saying her inclusion would provide representation to different sections of Hindu society. He described the appointment as a symbol of respect for women’s participation and said the involvement of women would bring greater sensitivity, perspective and inclusiveness to the Trust’s work.
The Trust has appointed Air Marshal Jitendra Mishra as its Chief Executive Officer (CEO). Kumar described him as a senior, respected and experienced personality and expressed confidence that his experience would help make the Trust’s functioning more effective and transparent.
Kumar said the VHP was confident that the addition of experienced members would help the Trust complete the work of the grand Shri Ram Temple more efficiently and contribute to the broader vision associated with Ayodhya.
