PM Modi Pays Tribute to Bhupen Hazarika
Prime Minister recalls legendary musician’s contribution to Assam and Northeast

New Delhi, 8th Sept: Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Tuesday paid tribute to legendary musician Dr Bhupen Hazarika on his 100th birth anniversary.
The Prime Minister said Hazarika’s voice carried the soul of Assam and the spirit of the Northeast to the entire nation. He said the musician’s songs gave expression to the thoughts and spirit of countless people and helped bring people closer.
Shri Modi also recalled attending the beginning of Dr Hazarika’s birth centenary celebrations in Guwahati last year.
The Prime Minister said Dr Bhupen Hazarika’s life and work would continue to inspire generations.
