Scindia toured the exhibition area, interacted with participating startups and exhibitors, and chaired review meetings with senior officials of the Department of Telecommunications, Cellular Operators Association of India and partner agencies.

With the theme “Scale Without Boundaries”, the 10th edition of IMC will showcase India’s progress in telecommunications, digital connectivity and technological innovation while providing a global platform for collaboration, investment and knowledge exchange.

Speaking to the media, Scindia highlighted the scale of the event and India’s evolving technology ecosystem, saying the country was moving from being a services nation towards becoming a product nation.

India’s telecom ecosystem has recorded significant expansion, with 1.01 billion broadband subscribers and more than 1 billion internet subscribers. According to the ministry, 5G services now cover 99.9 per cent of districts and 85 per cent of the population, while 98.7 per cent of villages have 4G connectivity.

India has also become the fifth country in the world to develop its own indigenous 4G stack, marking a milestone in its efforts towards technological self-reliance and advanced telecom capabilities.

IMC 2026 will feature programmes covering 6G, artificial intelligence, semiconductors, satellite communications, cybersecurity, quantum technology, telecom manufacturing and 5G monetisation.

Major programmes include the 3rd International 6G Symposium, CTO and CEO Roundtables, Cybersecurity Summit, Startup World Cup India 2026, 5G Innovation Hackathon and discussions on telecom and semiconductor supply chains.

The event will bring together governments, industry, academia, startups and technology innovators through keynote addresses, roundtables, panel discussions, workshops, demonstrations, hackathons and bilateral meetings.

The 2026 edition is expected to attract more than 1.5 lakh attendees, 500-plus exhibitors and partners, 600-plus startups and 900-plus thought leaders.

The event will showcase more than 2,000 technology use cases and 120-plus sessions, while over 700 investor meetings are expected to provide startups and technology enterprises with opportunities to access global capital, mentorship and markets.

More than 300 investors, incubators, accelerators and venture capital firms are also expected to participate in the event.
