From Journalism to Building a Security Industry
Born on September 22, 1951, in Buxar, Bihar, Sinha began his professional journey as a journalist. A graduate in political science and law, he also worked as a war correspondent during the 1971 India-Pakistan war.

After the war, he focused on creating employment opportunities for retired and former armed forces personnel. With a modest initial investment, he established Security and Intelligence Services (SIS), which grew into a major private security company operating in India, Australia and other countries.

The company expanded into a multinational business employing a large workforce, establishing Sinha as one of India’s prominent figures in the private security industry.

Alongside his business career, Sinha remained associated with the Bharatiya Janata Party and served as a Rajya Sabha member from Bihar between 2014 and 2020.

He was also involved in social welfare initiatives, education and the promotion of art and culture through various trusts and charitable organisations. His contributions to community development and relief activities were recognised across Bihar.

Sinha’s journey from journalism to entrepreneurship and parliamentary politics marked a significant chapter in his public life. His death is being mourned by political leaders, colleagues and members of the business community.
