New Delhi, 21st April: Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Tuesday paid tribute to Adi Shankaracharya on his Jayanti, describing him as one of India’s greatest spiritual luminaries whose teachings continue to inspire people across the world.

In a message, the Prime Minister highlighted the lasting relevance of Shankaracharya’s philosophy of Advaita Vedanta, which emphasises the oneness of existence and spiritual harmony.

PM Modi said the profound thoughts and teachings of Adi Shankaracharya have guided countless individuals globally and continue to illuminate the path of truth and wisdom.

He noted that the philosopher’s efforts to revitalise spiritual thought and establish centres of learning across the country remain a source of inspiration.

The Prime Minister emphasised that Shankaracharya’s philosophy promotes discipline, compassion and collective well-being, values that remain relevant in contemporary times.

“May his wisdom continue to illuminate our path and strengthen our commitment to truth, compassion and collective well-being,” Modi said.
