New Delhi, 22nd June: Union Home Minister and Minister of Cooperation Amit Shah will launch NAFED’s digital auction portal, NAFEX.in, on June 23 in New Delhi to enhance transparency, efficiency and ease in agricultural produce auctions.

Union Agriculture Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan, NAFED Chairman Jethabhai Ahir, Managing Director Deepak Agarwal and senior officials will also attend the programme at Atal Akshay Urja Bhawan.

During the event, Shah will launch several farmer-centric initiatives, including the NAFED-KALYAN scholarship for children of farmers, the DRISHTI inventory management portal for pulses and oilseeds, and the ERP portal for strengthening institutional operations.

The Home Minister will also distribute scholarship cheques to beneficiaries and witness a live demonstration of the registration and auction process on NAFEX.in.

NAFED said these initiatives are aimed at promoting technology-driven, transparent and efficient cooperative systems in line with the vision of “Sahkar Se Samriddhi” and strengthening support for farmers and agricultural trade.
