MP Police Recruitment 2026: 655 Posts Open for Applications
MPESB announces vacancies for Subedar Stenographer and ASI Ministerial posts; applications begin September 24

Bhopal, 21st Sept: The Madhya Pradesh Employees Selection Board (MPESB) has released a recruitment notification for 655 posts under the Police Headquarters and Home Police Department.
The recruitment includes 135 Subedar (Stenographer) posts and 520 Assistant Sub-Inspector (ASI Ministerial) posts. Eligible candidates can submit online applications from September 24, 2026 through the official MPESB website.
Eligibility and age limit
Candidates must have passed Class 12 from a recognised board. Depending on the post, applicants must also meet prescribed computer and typing requirements, including CPCT Hindi typing. Candidates applying for the Subedar Stenographer post will additionally be required to clear a Hindi shorthand test at 100 words per minute.
The maximum age limit is 33 years. Madhya Pradesh women candidates and candidates belonging to the SC, ST and OBC categories will receive a relaxation of up to five years under applicable government rules, taking the maximum age limit to 38 years.
Selection process
The selection process will comprise a Computer-Based Test (CBT), document verification, skill test and medical examination.
The first-stage written examination is scheduled to begin on November 3, 2026. The exam will be conducted in two shifts—from 10 am to 12 noon and 3 pm to 5 pm.
Application fee
For candidates in the unreserved category, the application fee is ₹500, excluding applicable portal charges.
Candidates belonging to the SC, ST, OBC and EWS categories of Madhya Pradesh will have to pay ₹250, along with applicable portal charges.
Salary details: Selected Subedar candidates will receive a monthly salary ranging from ₹36,200 to ₹1,14,800 under Level 9.
For Assistant Sub-Inspector (Ministerial) posts, the pay scale will range from ₹19,500 to ₹62,000 under Level 4.
