New Delhi, 16th Sept: Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Wednesday congratulated veteran actor Anant Nag on being conferred the Dadasaheb Phalke Award, describing the honour as a fitting recognition of his distinguished contribution to Indian cinema.
The Prime Minister highlighted Anant Nag’s decades-long career, particularly his contribution to Kannada cinema, and praised his versatility, effortless performances and artistic brilliance.
In a post on X, Modi said Anant Nag’s performances and versatility had left a strong mark on Indian cinema. He noted that the actor had brought “rare depth and authenticity” to the roles he played.
