New Delhi, 23rd July: Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Thursday paid tributes to Lokmanya Bal Gangadhar Tilak on his birth anniversary, describing him as a towering figure of India’s freedom struggle who awakened the spirit of nationalism and inspired generations to serve the nation.
In a post on X, the Prime Minister said Lokmanya Tilak played a pivotal role in igniting patriotic fervour and motivating people to dedicate themselves to public service.
Modi also praised Tilak’s efforts to popularise India’s cultural heritage and strengthen the spirit of brotherhood among citizens.
Highlighting the enduring impact of Tilak’s literary contributions, the Prime Minister said his writings instilled renewed confidence among the people and fostered a deep sense of pride.
