Satna, 1st May: In an inspiring environmental initiative, Pramila Mishra celebrated her birthday by planting a neem tree at the Narmadeshwar Temple premises in Bharhut Nagar, Satna.
The plantation drive was organized under the banner of Pt. Ganesh Prasad Mishra Seva Nyas as part of the ongoing “Apna Sapna-Hara Bhara Satna” campaign.
The event began with prayers and rituals at the temple, followed by the distribution of sweets and prasad.
On the occasion, Mishra pledged to plant at least one tree on every birthday, reinforcing her long-standing commitment to environmental conservation.
The newly planted neem sapling, over six feet tall, was carefully installed with proper soil, fertilizer and protective tree guards to ensure sustained growth.
Addressing attendees, Mishra urged citizens to celebrate important life events such as birthdays, anniversaries and memorial occasions through tree plantation to strengthen environmental protection efforts.
Rajiv Vyas, a campaign coordinator, highlighted that over the past five years, Mishra has consistently planted trees including peepal, banyan, neem and amla across multiple locations in Satna.
These plantations are being regularly maintained through the campaign’s “Green Ambulance” initiative, ensuring long-term ecological benefits.
Participants collectively resolved to incorporate tree plantation into their own special life occasions, further strengthening grassroots environmental awareness.
