RSS Marks Centenary with Global Outreach in London
Mohan Bhagwat’s London visit focuses on service, social harmony and shared civilisational values

London, 7th Sept: The Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) is marking its centenary year with a series of global outreach and civilisational dialogue programmes, with RSS Sarsanghchalak Mohan Bhagwat’s September 2–7 visit to London forming the concluding phase of the initiative.
According to the RSS, the London programme is focused on service, social harmony and shared values. The organisation said its centenary outreach seeks to share its experiences of community service, social cohesion and the concept of Vasudhaiva Kutumbakam or “the world is one family” with communities and institutions globally.
The London programme has been organised and coordinated by UK-based organisation Integral, with more than 115 social and cultural organisations supporting Bhagwat’s visit. During his stay, he has been meeting religious leaders, academics, researchers and other public figures. He has also visited the Swaminarayan Temple in Willesden and Khalsa Jatha British Isles Gurdwara.
The RSS said a “Celebration of Oneness” programme was scheduled for September 6, focusing on community leadership and civilisational dialogue. The initiative has been led by Hindu Swayamsevak Sangh UK with support from Integral, with participation expected from more than 310 community organisations and associations across Britain.
The organisation said its international outreach during the centenary year has included programmes in the United States and Canada. Earlier, RSS General Secretary Dattatreya Hosabale visited the UK, US and Germany, while Bhagwat addressed programmes in New York and Toronto involving representatives of religious, community and cultural organisations.
The RSS was founded in 1925 and is observing its centenary year in 2026. The organisation said its activities during the centenary year are centred on five priorities: social harmony, strengthening family values, environmental responsibility, self-reliance and civic duties.
