Scindia Releases Commemorative Stamp Honouring Sant Malukdas Ji

New Delhi, 15th Sept: Union Minister for Communications and Development of North Eastern Region Jyotiraditya Scindia on Tuesday released a commemorative postage stamp issued by the Department of Posts, Government of India, in honour of Sant Malukdas Ji.
The stamp was released on the occasion of a Sant Samagam organised in memory of the revered saint. Shri Scindia said the initiative is an effort to preserve Sant Malukdas Ji’s rich legacy of devotion, knowledge, compassion and public welfare as part of India’s national memory.
Addressing saints, mahants, Swami Rajendra Das Devacharya Ji Maharaj, office bearers of Shri Maluk Peeth Seva Sansthan Nyas and devotees from across the country, Scindia said the words and lives of saints have continued to provide direction to the spiritual and cultural life of India.
He noted the significance of releasing the stamp during the inauguration of Shri Ram Katha, recalling Sant Malukdas Ji’s deep devotion to Lord Ram. According to Scindia, the saint’s devotion extended beyond worship and prayer, as he regarded the character of Lord Ram as a philosophy of life and conveyed its values to the masses.
The Union Minister said Sant Malukdas Ji viewed Lord Ram as a symbol of duty, sacrifice, truth, compassion, justice and public welfare.
Highlighting India’s contemporary development journey, Scindia said the country is advancing economically while maintaining deep cultural confidence. He said the government under Prime Minister Narendra Modi is working to connect India’s heritage with modern development.
Referring to initiatives including the Ram Temple in Ayodhya, Kashi Vishwanath Dham and Mahakal Lok, he said development and culture are not contradictory for India and that the country can embrace modernity while remaining connected to its roots.
Scindia further said the vision of Viksit Bharat 2047 would be meaningful only when human welfare remains at its centre. He emphasised compassion in development, economic opportunities, technology reaching the last person and character building through education.
The Minister said the commemorative postage stamp will serve as a medium to make Sant Malukdas Ji’s spiritual and cultural legacy part of India’s national memory and help connect future generations with his message of devotion, knowledge, compassion and humanity.
