Bhopal, 22nd May: Jyotiraditya Scindia, Union Minister for Communications and Development of North Eastern Region, has appealed to supporters and residents in Madhya Pradesh to avoid using petrol and diesel vehicles during his upcoming two-day visit to Bhopal and his parliamentary constituency.
In a public appeal issued ahead of the visit, Scindia said conserving every drop of fuel has become a national responsibility in view of prevailing global circumstances.
The Union Minister said Prime Minister Narendra Modi has consistently emphasised simplicity in public life, responsible behaviour and prudent use of national resources.
Referring to the Prime Minister’s call, Scindia urged supporters in Bhopal, Guna and Shivpuri to avoid using petrol and diesel-powered vehicles during his movement across the region.
He said public affection, trust and blessings remain his greatest strength and added that fuel saved in national interest reflects citizens’ responsibility and sensitivity towards the country.
Scindia also appealed to people to participate as responsible citizens, saying even small collective efforts can contribute to major national transformation.
The minister’s appeal comes amid growing emphasis on energy conservation and responsible fuel consumption due to global geopolitical uncertainties affecting energy markets.
