New Delhi, 14th May: Union Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan on Thurday announced his new book ‘Apnapan’, based on his 35-year-long association with Prime Minister Narendra Modi.

Addressing a press conference in Delhi, Chouhan described the book as a personal account of his experiences with Prime Minister Modi through decades of organisational work, governance and public life.

The book will be formally launched on May 26 at the NASC Complex in New Delhi in the presence of former Vice President M. Venkaiah Naidu and former Prime Minister H. D. Deve Gowda.

Chouhan said the book offers readers a close look at PM Modi’s leadership style, work ethic, organisational skills and commitment to nation-building. He stated that his association with Modi began during the 1991 Ekta Yatra and gradually evolved through various political and administrative responsibilities.

Recalling the Ekta Yatra, Chouhan said PM Modi transformed it from a political campaign into a movement aimed at inspiring patriotism and national consciousness among the youth.

The Union Minister said the book also reflects key insights into organisational strategy, governance, policy-making and implementation of decisions at the Cabinet level across states.

Speaking about PM Modi’s leadership during the COVID-19 pandemic, Chouhan said the Prime Minister demonstrated patience, clarity and foresight during one of the country’s most difficult periods.

According to Chouhan, ‘Apnapan’ is not merely a collection of events but a reflection of an idea, vision and working style that contributed to India’s transformation. He added that the book would particularly inspire young people by highlighting the importance of discipline, service and dedication towards the nation.
