New Delhi, 7th July: Vice President C. P. Radhakrishnan on Tuesday paid floral tributes to eminent social reformer Rettamalai Srinivasan on his birth anniversary at the Uprashtrapati Bhavan.
Paying homage, the Vice President described Rettamalai Srinivasan as a great scholar and an eminent social reformer whose struggle against untouchability was unparalleled.
He said Rettamalai Srinivasan dedicated his life to eliminating the social evil of untouchability and firmly believed that the self-respect and dignity of every individual must always be protected.
The Vice President said the reformer’s life and ideals continue to inspire efforts towards building an inclusive and equitable society.
