Bhopal, 4th Sept: Madhya Pradesh Police Headquarters has issued an order promoting 157 Assistant Sub-Inspectors (ASIs) and acting Assistant Sub-Inspectors to the post of Sub-Inspector (SI) following a review by the Departmental Promotion Committee (DPC).
According to the order issued on September 3, 2026, the promotions have been made on the basis of the DPC’s recommendations and against vacant Sub-Inspector posts. The order follows an earlier Police Headquarters order dated July 20, 2026, concerning promotions for the 2025-26 service period.
The list includes 157 police personnel from various districts and units across Madhya Pradesh. The names and their current districts are detailed in the four-page official order. The list covers personnel posted in districts including Bhopal, Jabalpur, Indore, Gwalior, Rewa, Chhindwara, Shivpuri, Sagar, Morena, Datia, Chhatarpur and several others.
The promoted personnel will receive the applicable pay scale of ₹9,300–34,800 with Grade Pay ₹3,600, corresponding to Pay Matrix Level-9 under the Madhya Pradesh Pay Revision Rules, 2017. Their pay benefits will apply from the date they assume charge of their promoted posts.
The order also lays down conditions concerning pending departmental inquiries, criminal cases, adverse service records and mandatory training requirements. In cases where applicable conditions are not fulfilled, the promotion may be withheld or reviewed in accordance with the prescribed rules.
The order has been issued by the Police Headquarters, Bhopal, and signed by Riyaz Iqbal, Deputy Inspector General of Police (Personnel), on September 3, 2026.
