Mumbai, 18th Oct: Actor Tiger Shroff reportedly escaped without injury after three bike-borne men opened fire near his car in Mumbai’s Juhu area on Sunday evening, leaving his driver injured.
According to initial reports, the incident occurred as Shroff was leaving a football ground. The circumstances surrounding the shooting and the identities of the attackers remain to be established.
Soon after the incident, a video surfaced online in which a man identifying himself as Anil Pandit allegedly claimed links to the Lawrence Bishnoi gang. The speaker reportedly said Shroff was on the gang’s hit list, alleging that the actor had ignored its directions and was working with Salman Khan. The authenticity of the video and the claims made in it have not been independently established.
The incident has drawn attention because Salman Khan has previously received threats attributed to the Bishnoi gang. The gang’s alleged threats against the actor have been a matter of public concern.
Although Tiger Shroff and Salman Khan have not appeared together in a full-length feature film, they share professional connections within the Hindi film industry. Salman has reportedly supported Shroff’s entry into Bollywood by advising producer Sajid Nadiadwala to launch him.
Shroff’s father, actor Jackie Shroff, has also worked with Salman Khan in several films. The two actors have shared public platforms and spoken positively about each other’s fitness and dedication to action cinema.
Further details about the firing, the injured driver’s condition and the investigation were awaited.
