New Delhi, 17th April: Vice President C. P. Radhakrishnan on Friday paid tributes to former Prime Minister Chandra Shekhar on his 99th birth anniversary at Jannayak Sthal in the national capital.

The Vice President attended a prayer meeting organised on the occasion and offered floral tributes at the samadhi of the late leader.

Radhakrishnan described Chandra Shekhar as a visionary leader, a fearless parliamentarian and a steadfast champion of democratic values.

He noted that the former Prime Minister stood for integrity in public life and remained deeply committed to social justice and national unity.

Highlighting the significance of the occasion, the Vice President said the beginning of Chandra Shekhar’s centenary year offers an opportunity to renew the nation’s resolve to uphold his ideals of courage, simplicity and dedication to public service.
