New Delhi, 9th May: Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Saturday paid tributes to legendary Rajput warrior Maharana Pratap on the occasion of his Jayanti, describing him as an immortal symbol of bravery and valour.
In a message posted on X, the Prime Minister said Maharana Pratap dedicated his life to protecting the honour, pride and dignity of the motherland.
Modi said the warrior king’s indomitable courage and unwavering self-respect continue to inspire patriotism among Indians across generations.
“His saga of courage and sacrifice will keep igniting the spirit of nationalism in the hearts of countrymen for ages,” the Prime Minister said.
Maharana Pratap, the ruler of Mewar, is widely remembered for his resistance against the Mughal Empire and his role in the historic Battle of Haldighati.
His legacy remains deeply respected across India, particularly in Rajasthan, where commemorative events and tributes are organised annually on his birth anniversary.
Political leaders and citizens across the country also paid homage to the iconic warrior on the occasion.
