New Delhi, 27th May: Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan on Wednesday chaired a high-level review meeting to assess preparedness for the upcoming NEET-UG 2026 re-examination scheduled to be held on June 21.
The meeting was attended by former ISRO Chairman K. Radhakrishnan, who is also heading the High Powered Steering Committee constituted to monitor implementation of recommendations related to the National Testing Agency.
Senior officials from the Ministry of Education, including the Secretary of Higher Education, Director General of NTA and other officials, also participated in the discussions.
During the meeting, the Director General of NTA briefed participants on additional measures being implemented to strengthen examination security and ensure smooth conduct of the re-examination.
The discussions included a comprehensive review of existing surveillance mechanisms and plans for further strengthening monitoring systems at examination centres.
Emphasising the importance of examination integrity, Pradhan said security arrangements must remain a top priority. He also stressed the need to ensure adequate facilities and a student-friendly environment at examination centres across the country.
The NEET-UG 2026 re-examination is scheduled to be conducted on June 21 at more than 5,400 examination centres spread across 550 cities nationwide.
