Hyderabad, 16th June: The Anti-Corruption Bureau on Tuesday carried out extensive searches against Sunkari Narahari, Deputy Director of the Lands and Survey Department (Multi Zone-2), over allegations of amassing assets disproportionate to his known sources of income.

The raids were conducted under the supervision of ACB DSP Gangasani Sridhar at Narahari’s residence in Chatrinaka, his office in Narayanguda and properties linked to his relatives, friends and close associates.

According to ACB officials, searches were conducted at 11 to 12 locations in and around Hyderabad. Investigators reportedly seized around Rs 32 lakh in cash from Narahari’s residence along with gold ornaments, bank records and property documents.

Preliminary investigations suggest that Narahari allegedly made significant real estate investments and accumulated assets beyond his declared income. Officials are also examining bank accounts, deposits, financial transactions and documents related to companies allegedly floated in the names of relatives and associates.

ACB officials said a detailed valuation of the seized assets is in progress and further action will be taken based on the evidence collected during the investigation.
