Prof. M.M. Goel Receives Pride of Asia Award for Excellence in Higher Education 2026

Kurukshetra: Prof. M.M. Goel, former Vice-Chancellor, Propounder Needonomics School of Thought and superannuated Professor Kurukshetra University, has been honoured with the prestigious Pride of Asia Award for Excellence in Higher Education 2026. The award was presented by Mr. Aniket Mandavgane, IFS, Deputy Chief of Mission to the Kingdom of Bhutan, who graced the occasion as the Chief Guest during the 7th Global Summit on Innovation for Peace & Sustainable Growth–2026 at Thimphu, Bhutan recently.

The award recognizes Prof. Goel’s distinguished contribution to higher education, innovative thinking, and the promotion of value-based approaches for sustainable societal development.

The Global Summit provided a meaningful international platform for Prof. Goel to share his ideas on “Gita-Inspired Needonomics: An Innovative Framework for Sustainable Growth in Goodness Mode of AI.”

Even after formal retirement, Prof Goel continues to contribute through writing, mentoring, and promoting the Needonomics School of Thought as an alternative framework for inclusive and sustainable development.

The Pride of Asia Award honours Prof. Goel’s vision of education as a force for social transformation, peace, sustainability, and responsible citizenship.

The honour marks another milestone in his continuing mission to promote education, ethical values, and a need-based approach to economic and social development.
