Narendra Modi expresses grief over loss of lives in Uttara Kannada accident, prays for injured

New Delhi, 9th July: Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Thursday expressed deep grief over the loss of lives in the road accident in Karwar, Uttara Kannada district of Karnataka.

Conveying his condolences to the bereaved families, the Prime Minister said his thoughts were with them during this difficult time. He also prayed for the speedy recovery of those injured in the mishap.

In a post on X, the Prime Minister’s Office said, “The mishap in Karwar, Uttara Kannada district of Karnataka, is deeply saddening. My thoughts are with the bereaved families in this hour of grief. I pray for the speedy recovery of those injured: PM @narendramodi.”

Earlier in the day, at least seven people were killed and two others sustained critical injuries after a truck and a Tempo Traveller collided head-on in Karnataka’s Arebail Ghat on the Yellapur-Karwar highway. Authorities are investigating the cause of the accident.
